My theme this week is Draw Flowers. While flowers are definitely NOT a new subject for me (or anyone!), I am working with pen and ink as well as watercolor. The ink will take a little of the control away from me, which will be good since I can tend to be a bit of a perfectionist. The thin nibs also lend themselves to much more detail than I can achieve with regular pens. I want to use the watercolor as a background for the ink work.The sketchbook pages have images from Martha Stewart Magazine July 08...I love the styling with the flowers placed in the different shaped bottles and cups. (Maybe I will incorporate that idea as well) I did some practice flowers with the ink that are on the pages too.
